A group, Owerri Youths Liberation Forum has asked the two major candidates jostling to represent Imo East ( Owerri zone) at the Senate in 2023, senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi of the Labour Party and Hon Uche Onyeagucha of the People Democratic Party to publish their records of achievements and stewardships in National Assembly.

While Onyewuchi is the current lawmaker for the senatorial district and represented Owerri Federal Constituency at the house of representatives between 2011 and 2019, Onyeagucha represented Owerri Federal Constituency between 2003 and 2007.

The group insisted that making their records of achievements and accounts of stewardships public would help the electorate choose the best material for the position come next February.

According to the group, it is not enough to make promises, politicians should be able to make public their records of achievements before seeking for other political positions.

It insisted that past and present records of achievements would be the major criterrium the voters would rely on in voting for the next Senator for the zone in 2023.

It said that the era of fake political promises and statements without any record of achievements in public service was over, adding that the Owerri zone people were wiser.
