Peter Obi Not a joking matter, Olisa Metuh warns Ihedioha’s aide

A former National Publicity Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Mr Olisa Metuh, have warned Mr Ike Uche, a hireling of former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, against attacking the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential candidate, Dr Peter Obi.

This was contained in a comment Metuh left on a post made against Obi by Ike Uche on his Facebook timeline.

Uche and other hirelings of the sacked governor of Imo State, have made it a point to attack the candidacy of Peter Obi in recent times.

It can be recalled that while running under the PDP, Ihedioha had shunned Peter Obi when he visited the Imo State chapter of the party and even allegedly shielded Obi from meeting the party delegates.

Ihedioha would however personally receive the Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal, throwing out the red carpet and introducing him to the delegates of the party at that time, before the incursion of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu SamDaddy, would scuttle the list of delegates which initially had been handpicked by Ihedioha.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would emerge the flagbearer of the party and would shun Ihedioha as his running mate, settling instead for Gov Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

Ihedioha’s actions against Obi had attracted widespread condemnation but has not stopped Ihedioha’s hirelings from attacking Obi at any chance they get.

Olisa Metuh’s response reads as follows:

Ike Uche Peter Obi is not a joking matter, he is a movement and represents a clean break from the ugly past. There is need to show that the Pdp has embraced the changes needed and is now well placed to reposition the nation. Mocking Peter Obi ain’t gonna give you votes.
