IPOB Angry With Nnamani, Igbo Leaders for Short-changing Igbo Interest

The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB have expressed dissatisfaction over what it termed the short-changing of the interests of Ndi-Igbo by their leaders.

In a statement sent to TheCitizen supposedly signed by the head of publicity of the group, the former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani along with other Igbo leaders, were accused of betraying the interest of the people of the South East.

The statement reads as follows:

Press Release

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its security unit, Eastern Security Network (ESN) have noted with regret the manner in which the former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani and other self acclaimed Igbo leaders are obviously shortchanging and working against the interest of the South East Zone to please those marginalizing our people.

The most annoying part of it is that some of these so-called Igbo leaders prefer to work under the leadership of uniformed Fulani caliphate for no just reason at the detriment of the entire Igbo interest.

The worst that triggered our suspicion and reaction is the zoning of the National Secretary position of All Progressives Congress (APC) to the South East and the information that the former Senate President, Ken Nnamani is covertly scheming to trade it with the position of Deputy National Chairman for his selfish interest.

As an organized body, we view this selfish desire of the acclaimed Igbo leader as an affront on the sensibility of the whole Igbo nation which we struggle to protect. We cannot allow him and his cronies to succeed in this clannish voyage to mess Ndigbo up.

It is our firm belief that never shall we accept Senator Ken Nnamani’s lone voice to make himself the Deputy National Chairman of APC as against the earlier zoned National Secretary position to the South East which he is working against to please his old age.

If Senator Ken Nnamani is truly old as he claims, to the extent that he cannot function as National Secretary of APC other than National Deputy Chairman, we shall by force assist him go home in peace to allow the younger and energetic able-bodied men the opportunity to assume the office.

The search for his head commences in earnest.

Head, Media and Publicity.
