Hope Uzodinma Never sacked Akaolisa

The Imo State commissioner for Information, Mr. Declan Emelumba, have cleared the air over the supposed sack of the Commissioner for Justice, and Attorney General of Imo State, Barr. COC Akaolisa, stating that Akaolisa was not sacked with other commissioners as earlier assumed.

This was contained in a Press release signed by Emelumba, and reads as follows;

The Imo state government wishes to acknowledge that the Attorney General and commissioner for justice Barr Cyprian Okechukwu Charles Akaolisa was never among the commissioners dropped when the executive Council was dissolved a few weeks ago.

This error which occurred when I was announcing the commissioners retained by His Excellency the executive Governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodimma, is highly regretted. I accept responsibility for this error.

Consequently, the government has directed that the Hon Attorney General and commissioner for justice, Barr C.O C Akaolisa should immediately resume his normal duties as he was never dropped from the state cabinet.

Hon Declan Emelumba
Commissioner for information and strategy

    And this newspaper published just this press release as copies? You should receive some basic training as journalists before exposing your stupidity and ignorance. A newspaper is not supposed to be spreading Govt press releases. When there’s a press release, you the newspaper will either ask questions, details and opinions on the matter. It’s a known fact that Governor of Imo sacked 20 Commisioners and retained 8. That was in May, GOC Akaloisa was amongst the sacked. If the Government comes back to say he was not sacked, why was he not performing his duties as Imo AG? What’s the reason for his absence from office?
