Popular Owerri based blogger, Mr. IfeanyiCY Njoku, asked a question on his Facebook handle.
His question read as follows; “Is it True that Ex-Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha is Linked with Insecurity in Imo?”
Njoku in a subsequent post, will educate the public, that Okorocha’s political thug, a Mr. Frank Onwumere, was arrested by the Inspector General of Police Special Force in Imo for unwholesome act.
Mr Onwumere is better known, for his physical attack on the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, at the All Progressives Congress APC Congress in Abuja, where he led thugs to manhandle the state’s number two citizen, and other top officials of the party, who weren’t in agreement with Okorocha’s decision to install his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu as his successor.
Recall also, that Senator Rochas Okorocha during an interview on Channels TV, had raised alarm, that his driver and security aide are been arrested by Governor Hope Uzodinma, over recent unknown gunmen invasion of Imo state which caused breach of peace and security in the state.
This was further trumpeted by his media handlers, who alleged that Okorocha’s associates, had been arrested over the current security situation in Imo State.
Verbatim News recalls that Senator Hope Uzodinma, had accused aggrieved politicains, of being behind the attacks on security facilities in the state, as well as the attack on Uzodinma’s Country home.
The Information Commissioner, Declan Emelumba, had in an interview, indirectly accused Okorocha, of being involved in the security crisis in the state.
Verbatim News, starts to wonder, what would Senator Rochas Okorocha gain, by causing breech of peace, and security unrest in Imo State.
According to Emelumba, the plan was probably to disrupt the current probes going on in the state.
The Uzodinma administration, had continued from where the Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha administration had stopped, and put the Okorocha eight years reign under the microscope.
This had led to the foreclosure of two of Okorocha’s properties, as well as the former governor’s arrest, when he tried to break into one of the seized property.
The question persists, could Okorocha be desperate enough, to fund the breakdown of law and order in the state?
With his public admittance to giving N500million to former militants, could there be a link to what is happening in the state?
Is there something the state knows, that they are yet to reveal to us?
Recall that the Minister for Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, stated that the names of the sponsors of the attacks, will shock the people.
Could this be what he was talking about?
Or are the accusations and arrests, ploy to muscle the opposition, as Hope Uzodinma had been accused of by Okorocha, as well as opposition parties in the state?
