Biafra: Observers Express Concerns Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Safety In DSS Custody

0

There have been tension and speculation amongst observers and in public opinions, over the well- being of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, following his reported arrest by Nigerian authorities, in collaboration with foreign partners.

The concerns of his wellbeing as expressed by observers, arise from the fact, that aside from the few grainy pictures released about the separatist leader, showing his in handcuffs, looking very stressed, there have not been any further sighting of him.

The alleged arraignment in court, have further raised eyebrows, as nobody have categorically come forward to saw he or she positively saw Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

An eyewitness reportedly stated that he saw a man with white beard, which was not an affirmation, that the man he was was Nnamdi Kanu.

Further adding to the suspicion, was the barring of the media, from entering the court room, as well as the covering of the alleged Nnamdi Kanu’ s head with a hood, when he was taken out from the court, raising questions whether it was really Nnamdi Kanu that was led out.

The man who was led out, acted out of character, and did not cause some form of commotion when he was being led out from the court, raising the suspicion that it might have been a double, who was presented in court, while the real Nnamdi Kanu may not yet have arrived the country, or was incapacitated to stand in court.

Recall that before his arrest by Nigerian authorities, there have been predictions of his death before the end of the year, by religious clerics.

Pastor Olatobiliba Peters had revealed the death of Nnamdi Kanu, while speaking about the death and final resting place of late televangelist, Apostle TB Joshua.

Peters had told Nnamdi Kanu to start preparing himself, insisting that he would not live beyond 2021.

Two other clerics, Obinna Akukwe, and Ekene Bob- Ekechukwu, had also warned of death threats to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

While Akukwe sees his arrest as saving him from assassination, Peters have yet to recant his prediction, and the secrecy surrounding his arrest and confinement, gives rise to suspicion and fear for his wellbeing.

The international legal warfare that may ensue, following his arrest while travelling under the British passport, is another angle observers believe cpuld also pose a threat to his life, as the authorities would rather have him dead, than slip out of their hands again.

Their failure to produce him for the public to see, have raised apprehension over whether the IPOB leader was even alive in the first place.
