Outside Religious Differences, Why Prophet T.B Joshua Fought Gani Adams Till Death

They are both from Arigidi in Akoko North West area of Ondo State

Details have emerged why popular prophet T.B Joshua (Temitope Balogun Joshua) and Aare Ona Kakanfo Gani Adams were at odds – and did not make peace till the former’s death.

This is despite the fact that Prophet T.B Joshua who died in the very late hours of Saturday, June 5, 2021, and Aare Ona Kakanfo Adams are from the same town.

They are both from Arigidi in Akoko North West area of Ondo State.

Societynow.ng gathered their till-death-do-us-apart-fight, which is an open secret, has little to do with religion.

“It was more about supremacy and it came to a head during the build-up to the selection of the new king for their town in 2008. Both Gani Adams and Prophet T.B Joshua backed different candidates. It was a fierce test of influence that further widen the gulf between the two powerful sons of Arigidi” societynow.ng learned.

Though Gani Adams was not yet the Aare Ona Kankanfo at the time, he was already famous as the leader of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) and Prophet T.B Joshua also well known as the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), the Christian ministry popularly known as Synagogue with headquarters in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos State.

“The crack between the two famous sons of Akoko was never repaired till Prophet T.B Joshua breathed his last” societynow.ng learned.

Information at hand revealed that Adams who became the Aare Ona Kakanfo in November 2017 won the fight over who becomes the Oba of Arigidi which created a beyond repair relationship between him and Prophet T.B Joshua in 2008.

Though Adams was a regional champion within Nigeria at the time, T.B Joshua who died at the age 57 – seven days shy of his 58th birthday – was already enjoying international stardom.

“But Adams who is a traditionalist was and remains a part and parcel of the process that determines who becomes King” societynow.ng learned.

Gani Adams, 51, is yet to speak on the death of famous son from his town whose passage has attracted reaction from even the President.
