I Lied, I Am Not Gay – Nollywood Actor, Uche Maduagwu Cries Out As He Reveals Why He Lied
Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has revealed that he is not gay, contrary to his earlier statements.
Maduagwu made this known using his social media handlers. Recall that Maduagwu had a shocking revelation about his xexuality on the 28th of January 2021.
Anambra-state born actor, who was reportedly suicidal in recent time, following his arrest, and after being attacked for his xexuality, stated that his love for the LGBT community was the reason he fought for their rights in Nigeria, claiming he was gay to help his campaign.
Maduagwu while writing on his Instagram page, lamented that he lost movie roles, endorsements and even his girlfriend, over his fight for gay right in Nigeria.
He however stated that he didn’t regret using his status as a celebrity, to fight for the community.
Maduagwu claimed he was attacked for coming out as gay. Maduagwu on Thursday 28th of January, had publicly declaring himself a gay man on his Instagram page, and that was when problem started for him.
Maduagwu had also written to American president, Joe Biden calling for the revocation, of the Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Bill (SSMPA), passed by Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Maduagwu, before now, had been a strong critic of the increasing rate of homoxexuality in Nollywood.
